Subject: Asia-Pacific Social Sciences School Network (APSSSNET) Training Workshop

Regional Unit for Social and Human Sciences in Asia and the Pacific (RUSHSAP) is planning to organize a training for teachers from the Asia-Pacific Social Sciences School Network (APSSSNET) school members on 4-8 October 2004 for five days in Bangkok, Thailand. The workshop will cover two main areas – current trends of Asia-Pacific of the Information Communication Technology (ICT) in schools and creation of e-book on Social Sciences issues.

There will be no charge for participating in this workshop for all the APSSSNET school members. But due to limited budget, RUSHSAP requested the National Commission for UNESCO in your country to suggest two persons from two schools in your country for whom RUSHSAP will provide accommodation for five days stay in Bangkok. If your school is recommended by the National Commission for UNESCO then you will be expected to pay for your traveling expenses. However, if your school has not been recommended by the National Commission for UNESCO but you would like to send someone to attend this workshop you are welcome to do so but you have to pay for all your accommodation and traveling expenses.

The idea is for the participants at this workshop to run similar workshops in their own countries for other teachers when they return. Could you kindly let us know your response as soon as possible to enable us to plan.
