SOFT-ON-SOFT MOSAIC
The soft colors of this brooch simulate the muted effects of Romance mosaics. You can find further inspiration from the wonderful mosaics of other ancient cultures, and many are reproduced in books or can be seen in museums.
The bee brooch uses translucent clay mixed with blue for the wings, which adds depth to the design.
